Cultivation tips: Sasa is a low growing member of the Bamboo family that is often planted in groups as ground cover among dappled shade; it is especially useful stabilizing banks and planting in tough spots. It is a compact evergreen that grows to 1- 1.5 metres tall, but its roots will rapidly spread if not contained. It prefers part sun to full shade and will grow on any well drained fertile soil other than chalk.
