Brachyglottis Dunedin Group 'Sunshine' - Brachyglottis

Type Shrub, Ground cover, Evergreen
Size Medium Border (50-100cm height)
Form Spreading clump
Colours Silver Foliage, Yellow Flowers (Summer)
Care Some maintenance required
Hardiness Very hardy
Growth Fast growing

This low maintenance shrub has distinctive elliptical silver foliage, producing rather garish yellow flowers throughout the summer. It contrasts well with golden / purple foliage plants, being suited to front / mid border planting.

Cultivation tips: This silver leaved sub shrub is both hardy and tolerant of most well drained soils, preferring a hot dry position in full sun where it can be left to form a reliable no-nosense ground cover in the toughest of spots. It should be trimmed back to shape after flowering to retain shape but other than that should look after itself - just avoid shade and wet soils.
