Taxodium is a tall growing almost column like deciduous conifer, which is much loved for is rust coloured autumnal foliage. It grows with roots under water, sending arched root stems above the water. Its fine cut foliage ultimate height- 40m tall x 8m.

Cultivation tips: The swamp Cyprus can survive with its roots underwater, preferring a lime free wet soil - preferably a heavy water clay. Ideal for pond side planting this tree will get very large so is only suitable for larger gardens.
