This ground hugging evergreen plant makes ideal ground cover, forming a carpet of glossy purple foliage, producing small spikes of dark blue flowers early summer. Ideal as edging plant or ground cover under shrubs / trees.

Cultivation tips: Ajuga requires little maintenance spreading naturally into a low growing dense weed suppressing matt. Flourishing on most soils it is hardy, growing in full sun or under partial shade - a good low input all-rounder for under planting / shady groundcover.
