The distinctive spiky clumps of the evergreen Oat Grass throw up masses of oat like plumes which last throughout the summer. This is a must for dry gardens - looking great as a naturalistic specimen in mid border or in a pot

Cultivation tips: This attractive fast growing grass will grow on most well drained soils, as long as they are not to fertile or moist. It is drought hardy, tolerating hot dry exposed areas, and hating wet soils or shade. Trim flower heads and dead material in winter / spring. Tolerates chalky and sandy soils. Plant in clumps and drifts to break up herbaceous planting and add late summer interest.
