The Golden foliage of milium aureum is best appreciated among other low growing semi shade loving plants. The golden foliage effect is what really sticks out and it contrasts well with darker and red tinted foliage.
Cultivation tips:
This low growing grass prefers a spot in dappled shade where it prefers a fertile well drained garden soil. Once established this grass will tolerate dry spells and will happily self seed, making it ideal for natural or cottage style gardening beneath taller shrubs and trees.
