This medium sized Erygium requires planting towards the front of a border where is outstanding silver blue finely cut foliage can be fully appreciated. The display of silver blue flower spikes in mid to late summer are an added bonus and are long lasting, being well suited to cutting and drying. Ideal with other sun loving Mediterranean plants and lowish grasses.
Cultivation tips:
Eryngium's require a sunny sheltered location with reasonably fertile yet never wet soil, being ideal for a dry border in full sun. Cut back to ground in autumn and avoid planting where foliage will be drowned by surrounding plants. Taller flower spikes might need support. Ideal for planting in a dry border with grasses and herbaceous plants
