Nepeta is a useful spreading herbaceous plant is ideally suited to the front of the border or at the edge of a path. It is well suited to planting among herbs and mixes well with herbaceous planting. Its scented foliage is much loved by cats and its blossom will attract bees.

Cultivation tips: Catmint will not tolerate wet cold soils, so plant in any well drained garden soil in a sunny dry spot. Trim back after flowering and cut back hard to the ground in the autumn.
