Cultivation tips: Chusquea is a hardy fern yet dislikes exposure to extremes of hot or cold, so prefer to plant in a sunny sheltered spot where it wont get to battered by the elements. It prefers a fertile yet well drained soil. Mulch every few years and remove tired old stems annually to encourage new plumes.
