Cultivation tips: Sarcocca is a hardy shrub that flourishes on free draining fertile soils (including chalky soils), but prefers a moisture retentive yet free draining soil with plenty of humus. This evergreen is suitable for planting under shade - making it ideal for woodland planting and useful for problem shady areas where it will slowly knit together and form a dense ground cover. Water occasionally if very dry - mulch on poor soils. No need to prune but trim to shape. Height and spread up to 1 metre
