Armeria is tough alpine that will tolerate any dry soil type. Sea thrift produces masses of rounded white blossom held above dense cushions of tufted dark green foliage. It is suited to rockery planting where it will form dense cushions of evergreen ground cover.
Cultivation tips:
This tufty compact alpine is ideally suited to rockery planting, requiring a spot in full sun and a well drained soil. Armeria is suited to open exposed locations, it will not suite being shaded by other plants.
