Cultivation tips: Allium prefers fertile yet well drained soils in full sun. This ornamental onion can cope with drier soils, flowering in spring and dying back to the ground in late summer. Plant as bulbs in autumn and mulch annually in cold areas. Divide and replant older clumps in late summer.
