This relatively compact Erygium looks good at the front of a border where is outstanding foliage can be fully appreciated. The display of silver blue flower spikes in mid to late summer are an added bonus. Ideal with other sun loving Mediterranean plants and lowish grasses.

Cultivation tips: Eryngium loves a sunny warm location with reasonably fertile yet never wet soil, being ideal for a dry border in full sun. Cut back to ground in autumn and avoid planting where the plant will be drowned by surrounding plants. Taller flower spikes might need support. Ideal for planting in a dry border with grasses.
