This climber produces masses of white deeply scented trumpets of blossom in mid through late summer. When not in flower Trachelospermum also has luxuriant dark green pointed foliage with takes on an attractive burnt red tint during the winter mnoths.
Cultivation tips:
Trachelospermum requires a planting in warm sheltered location with it roots in a well drained soil if it is the survive the British winter. A south facing wall is ideal where new growth can be tied in and controlled. Soil should be reasonably fertile and an occasional compost mulch will help fertility.
